Mission of the Committee on Fundamental Research
Provide a forum for fundamental primary research investigators to actively engage in developing solutions to improve MGB policies, infrastructure and environment to benefit the research community.
Our Vision
The Committee on Fundamental Research (CFR) will strive to….
Increase the visibility of challenges faced by fundamental research scientists and research faculty.
Act as liaisons and advisors to the MGH Research Institute, ECOR Leadership, ECOR-elected committee representatives, ORCD, SAC, Research Management, and CROI committees.
Establish and maintain relationships with, and provide constructive feedback to, key management services within Mass General Brigham.
Actively participate in the shaping of procedures and/or policies directly affecting the research community, including advocating for trainees and staff.
Identify key individuals to serve on hospital based committees to provide a critical voice for research-based PI’s, their trainees and staff.
Promote academics and strengthen the academic environment for PI’s, postdocs, and students
