Signage – For Animal Use Areas

The IACUC requires certain signage to be placed in animal use areas

Animal Procedure Room Poster – post this when conducting procedures using animals in shared spaces. Make every effort to conduct research in CCM procedure rooms, dedicated rooms or other contained space to minimize occupational health exposures.

Satellite Animal Housing Poster Example – post this when you are approved to house animals in an IACUC-approved satellite housing location (housing > 12 hours).  Please contact MGH IACUC Compliance for a copy of this poster.

Emergency Contact List Template – must included Facility Veterinarian, On-call veterinarian, Satellite Housing Facility Laboratory Manager and other important contact information.  For veterinary contact information, please visit CCM Web site.

Animal Welfare Concern Reporting Poster – post this in all animal housing locations and in laboratories where animal research is conducted.  Please note, it does not need to be posted in public, or other sensitive, areas.

Biosafety Signage – all rooms approved for biohazard agent use (BL2, BL3) must have a biosafety sign posted that includes all agents approved for use in the area, whether or not they are in use.
